My ears felt like they were shattered into a million pieces, and it would make more sense if this was one of Mills' songs.

Ok...

This song qualifies for dubstep a little into the song, otherwise it feels techno-ish... I would say improve on it by slowing the beat down if you aim for dubstep or removing the "Dum" sounds to make it techno, since it won't work out as a trance song. Making it Loop better would also improve it.
